Your customers' information

When you add your own customers' details to DeccanStack, you decide what to add and why. We handle that information on your behalf, only to run the service for you. You are responsible for having the right to share it with us.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with:

  • payment partners that process your payments;
  • hosting, storage and email providers that help us run DeccanStack;
  • messaging providers, when you choose to send quotations or reminders through them;
  • professional advisers such as our accountant or lawyer, where needed;
  • government authorities, when the law requires it.

These providers may store data in India or in other countries. We use providers that protect data with appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active. If you close your account, you can ask for a copy for 30 days. We then delete your data within 90 days, except records we must keep by law, such as invoices and tax records, which we keep for the period tax law requires.

Security

We protect data with encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access and regular backups. No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
  • correct or update it;
  • delete it, unless we must keep it by law;
  • stop using it where we rely on your consent;
  • name someone to act for you if you are unable to.

Email hello@deccanstack.com with the subject "Privacy request". We will reply within the time the law requires.
